Develop Energy efficient homes
We've been trying to get the developers to design the streets so that as many blocks as possible are energy efficient. Click here for more info about energy efficient house design.
But as you can see by this picture, the MasterPlan so far looks pretty bad - most of the blocks run north-south, so it's impossible to have an east-west house (an east-west house can easily expose more living area to the sun in winter, whilst shaded in summer.)
Solar Dwellings can really help you - show them your designs, and they'll show you what to do better. It will save you more later, and may cost you no more now!
